My name is Arlette, My journey working with seniors started when I cared for my grandmother when she needed the help about 10 years ago. I am a nursing student at the very end of my program. I am passionate about caring for others. I have a large family and I know the importance in family care, having someone who truly looks after a loved one is very important to me. I give it my all.

I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that I take care of all my patients as if they were my own family and make sure they are comfortable and most importantly I listen to their needs. I first became interested in health care when my mother was ill and needed care herself and realized that I had a real passion for helping others. I enjoy knowing that the family can be at ease knowing I'm there taking care of their loved ones. At Long Beach Memorial I was know as the "sitter whisper" because whenever they had a difficult patient they would alway assign me that patient and by the end of the day the patient would no longer require restraints or was completely compliant and friendly. They always ask what was my secret and I would say I simply listen to what their needs are.
