I feel like I am a good caregiver because when my dad turned 80 he needed extra help because he started forgetting some stuff. Started to get Alzheimer's. So I began helping him with medication, cooking, cleaning, laundry, errands, doctor appointments, bill paying etc. Sometimes I would find myself at his home 4-5 times a day answering questions over and over again or just to keep him company. He had some amazing stories of his life so I overstayed my visits. It was great! He passed away at 90. Then my sister started having medical problems when she turned 65. I did the same for her and would spend a lot of time with her as well. I cleaned her home, did her laundry and took her to doctor appointments. I kept her company at the hospital as often as I could. We spent a lot of time on the phone. It helped so she wasn't so bored. I enjoyed the time I spent with both of them. It made me feel useful. So after all the help I gave to both of them, I started to look into Caregiving. It's a great career. To help others is great!

Hello! I have worked in various roles as a caretaker. I have 21 years experience in healthcare with long term care patients. Memory care experience with advanced stages of Alzheimer's and Dementia. I have always loved to work in a geriatric setting, but I moved into hospital work and have been an ICU Technician, a pharmacy technician, cardiac technician, and most recently obtained a degree in Surgical Technology! I am also current on Covid vaccinations and all vaccinations. I am Also current in my BLS certification.

Hello, I am Nicole. I go by Nikki for short. I have been doing home healthcare since January 2020. I am a permanent caretaker for my son who has multiple neurological disabilities. My main goal as a caregiver is to help my client feel confident in them selves and to help them stay in their homes. Everyone deserves to be their own person in their own space and I would move mountains if I could to help them be that. Now I can't move mountains but I will do everything I can to help each and everyone of my clients reach their goals and be successful in their daily lives.

My name is Frida, some of my strongest personality traits are being able to communicate with people around me, I uplift others, I always encourage everyone to be there best self's and love being able to make people smile. When I was younger my grandparents struggled with diabetes and I remember always being there with them mentally and physically so ever since then i've wanted to help others who couldn't do everything by themselves. I enjoy bonding with my residents and getting to know things they like and dislike just to make everything more comfortable for them and me.

I have been a CNA for about 5 years now and it has always been a passion of mine to become a nurse someday to help those in need much more. Throughout the years working as a CNA I have really come to love helping others and being there for them when they feel helpless and lonely. I have lost patients on the way and when it comes down to it as much as you don't want it to bother you it truly does. I have always had a passion for what I do and when I lose those that I'm helping it does hurt me, but I'm always proud for being there to help them when no one else could.

I get along with everyone I encounter in the Health field, I like being able to be a help for the elderly in time of personal care and cleaning around their home. I am proud that I am able to learn new qualities everyday in the health field.
