Hello! My name is Brittany, I have been in the nursing field for almost 10 years now providing care for a variety of patients with individualized care plans. Peers describe me as hard working, dedicated, compassionate, empathetic, kind, easy companion with a big heart. I started off in this industry taking care of my grandfather who became very ill, I volunteered in the hospital and rehab center he resided in for 4 years, I provided care for him until he passed away. He told me I needed to make nursing my career as it's what I am best at and have the heart for. With that being said this is what I love most about what I do, I love to provide companionship along with the best care provided to each resident creating a safe and healthy environment. Building relationships and treating others like they're your own family is very important in the role of a caregiver, this is how I choose to give back to the community and making them as comfortable as possible in times of need. Being a caregiver is one of most rewarding things a person can do. The smile on their faces is over whelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I'm a happy person. I learned how be a caregiver when my mom had a stroke and I was laid off my job Express Scripts for 27 years as a Registered Pharmacy Technician. I started working in a adult living facility 7 yrs and I've been doing it every since. I love it. Sometimes it can be a challenge. I've taking care of all ages oldest client was 91yrs . They had Alzheimer's and dementia. I give bath, clean house, prepare food, wash clothes , walking exercises, companionship, medication reminder, what ever the client needs required I'm flexible. I live in Tampa. I graduated from High School and a college degree. I have 2 sons and happily married for 32 years. So I can say I'm truly blessed.
