What attracted me to caregiving is when my my older sister was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor that made her go blind and a few weeks later my grandfather was diagnosed with dementia. I will say first that I love being a certified nurse assistant in America and I thrive to become a better person while working in the healthcare field. The fact that I can be happy and nice on purpose and get paid for it is amazing but the award that comes with the job is unheard of. I enjoy the family you gain while providing care for someone.
