What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is coming from a huge family I am 1/6 kids and the second oldest so my sister and I were always helping our mom with the little ones. I've watched my mom raise 6 kids on her own beautifully and that inspires me. I have really good traits that make me a great caregiver, knowing that what I do helps people just makes me feel so fulfilled like I'm actually doing something good in this world.

I started work in a nurseing home at 15 years old worked in laundry and housekeeping for a year and a half then i went to cna classes at st.athonys care center in rock island il. I worked up to a cna intil 2015 when i went private care . now im a personal care assistance / caregiver . im 46 years old i live in aledo il, i have two sons one is 26 years old and onther one is 23 years old .i enjoy being with clients i have respect, honest, truthful, encouragement, love , caring, protection, im looking for monday thru friday day shift hours .i have 34 years of experience. My work history is very diverse. I worked for the court system for many years. I was also employed by the Iowa Department of Revenue & Finance. I have worked for Iowa Child Support Recovery Unit. I have been employed as an office assistant as well as a legal assistant. I worked for a Harley Davidson dealership in sales and moved into a lead office position. I have many years experience in caregiving. I've worked for Senior Helpers as well as Home Instead Senior Care. I attended St. Ambrose University, which is a Christian based university, and graduated with honors. I love to travel, spend time with family and friends, snorkel, ride bicycles horsebackriding, and enjoy walking and listening to all genres of music. I am a very loving and people person . I decided to become a caregiver when I started working at a care center in Hiawatha Iowa as a Dietary Aide . I decided that I wanted to work with the residents instead of serving them . I found a job shortly as being a resident aide at Mayvil assistive living , I didn't have to be certified. I then began to wonder what was the difference in being certified or not ... I started to look into classes to become a certified nurse assistant, I was determined to get my certification. So I took off a month of work to go to school . Believer it or not I loved it , when I finnished school I got at westridge care center , I loved my residents but I decided to return home to my hometown. I would like to get into some home health care ! I enjoy waking up everyday and being the first person my resident interacts with for the day , I smile definitely starts the day off . I also love to be able to tuck my residents in at night !

I was very close to my grandmother and when she passed away i decided id love to work ith elderley peole and help them. I find it very rewarding to be a caregiver and get to kno all the amazing people i meet. I am told i am definitely in the right field of work i do this job very well. I am very easy going sweet compassionate and love working with and meeting new people
