Hi. My name is Tricia Thompson. I have been a Caregiver for 10 plus years. It started off with my Grandma. I still take her places to this day. She is 90 years young. She is the one that told me that I did such a good job with her that I should get some patients on my own, so I did. I truly love to help the elderly and they enjoy me as much as I enjoy them.

1)The reason I became a caregiver was because I love the providing Carr for individual who are not quite able to Carr for them selves 100%. 2) The thing I love most about being a care giver is the relationships and repore we build with our residents. 3)One of my biggest personal achievements in this field, Where I was previously employed there was a restorative program that was assigned to all staff different programs I was assigned a very difficult resident who was set in his ways for about 2weeks he didn't want to do this program but I didn't let up 2x a day I asked and told him the benifit of the program. One morning I went in said good morning went about his daily adl's and he says "Hey Q(me) I think I wanna walk today' and he did just that from his room to the dinning room with me following behind him with his wheel chair.. 4)I love being a Care giver.

Some personality traits that help me be a great caregiver is I have a really big heart. I genuinely care and concern about my patients and even their loved ones. When going through CNA school I was taught something that stuck with me and that was to always treat your patients the way you would want your mother to be treated. My mother is a nurse and I took a lot of fuel credit courses in high school that just drive my interest in healthcare. I've just always wanted to make a difference and I've found such a love for being a caregiver. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver would hands down being able to help those whom need it. I just enjoy making life easier for my patients and their families. I begin nursing school in the fall and I am very excited to advance my studies within nursing!
