I enjoy working as a care provider to help others achieve their daily tasks. Families look forward to having an extra set of helping hands to care for their loved ones and this is where I fit in. As an individual, I am compassionate and empathic, and I have a great deal of respect for other people. In the beginning of my nursing career, I was a certified nursing assistant. I decided to pursue nursing care when my grandfather was on the verge of death. We searched for someone who would care for our family in a respectful and caring manner, but we were unable to find one. So, i decided to pursue nursing, which I love, and now I am working as a registered nurse. Currently, I am working in the medsurg department as well as the emergency room. With six years of nursing experience, I have worked with many different types of patients, such as those with G. Tubes , IV medications, wound care management, and those with storks. It is my belief that one of the most enjoyable things about being a care giver is the fact that I get to learn a lot from the elderly. There is always something new to learn from them when you pay close attention and listen to what they have to say.

What makes me a great caregiver is the opportunity to take care of some great people who need help and appreciate good help. I enjoy talking to people and listening to stories that so many elders have. I am very compassionate and do not frazzle easily. I have extensive experience with dementia patients. I recently became a certified Death Doula, specializing in personal care for dying patients. A personal achievement I am most proud of is raising my three children with my husband of 37 years. They (children) have grown to become great adults and that's all a parent can ask for.
