I became a caregiver because I did not want to work in main stream Healthcare anymore. My passion is helping seniors the way they and their family's want to be cared for without Healthcare systems making the choices for their care. I worked as a physical therapy assistant for 27 years. The last 8 were in a rehabilitation department at a skilled nursing facility. I have enjoyed the last 9 years doing private home care as a caregiver. Helping individuals live their lives with dignity, safety and loving care.

I'm interested in being a caregiver because I'd like to increase the amount of care the elderly population receives. I enjoy talking to elderly person im taking care of and would like to know them. A personal achievement of mine is my high school graduation.

I am an 38 years old black African who's very dedicated, patient, compassionate, attentive, trustworthy person. I had many people in my own family who needed help and assistance. I grew up in an environment that make me to understand what they've been going through and he creates in me the passion and love to aid. Life it's to short and we need to make sure to be there when other needs us. l like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. You take pride in your attention to detail. You don't want a desk job; you like being physical in your job and using your body as well as your brain. Most importantly I possess critical thinking skills needed to identify an emergency or changes that may lead to the need for further care. I possess a high degree of both professionalism and empathy. I have a great sense of humor and a ton of life experience. I treat my patients just as I would my own family and friends.
