I am a 56yr old female and have been caring for/ assisting seniors and disabled/challenged adults for 12 yrs. I've worked for clients with dementia, alzheimers, MS, Parkinsons, surgeries, CHF, COPD, stroke, CKD, numerous cancers, SP Cath, diabetes, as well as other disabilities and illnesses. Duties have included companionship/mind and sensory stimulation (games, puzzles, discussions, outings..), transportation, meals, cooking, medication management/reminders, assist with hygiene/bathing/dressing, schedule mngmt(Dr.appts, hair), laundry, groceries, errands, LIGHT housecleaning, stretching/ROM exercises, household mngmt. I am certified with the state as a Certified Nurse Assistant, also trained in BLS, AED, and CPR, which allows me to work in Home Care, Hospitals, Rehab. Facilities, and Senior Care/Long-Term Care Facilities... but I prefer Home Care. I Love what I do and am compassionate and patient with my clients/patients. I hold an impeccable driving record and a chauffeur license, and have a trustworthy, well-maintained, well-insured vehicle chosen specifically for working with my clients(easy seating with easy access for walkers/wheelchairs). Working part-time/occasionally for an agency, I am required to keep a CLEAR CRIMINAL BACKGROUND as well as remain current on my CPR/BLS and CNA training/certifications and TB testings. I am loving and caring. I love to make sure everyone around me is happy and enjoys my presence. I also took care of my grandpa and grandma and that made me realize more that this is the field for me. I just really enjoy it.! I just finished my nursing assistant class and am waiting to take my state exam I am soo proud of myself for achieving this goal.

I became a caregiver over 25 years ago. I never get tired of taking care of the young, old, mentally ill or challenged. This is not a job to me because I enjoy what I do. I have taken clients from hospics to off. From getting insulin shots daily to none. People say that there is much comfort in just meeting me for the first time, a sense of hope for there loved ones, and when it comes to the end of life I am always there with a loving warm hand and family knowing there loved one was well taken care of from the heart.

I'm caring,compassionate, understanding, agile and up beat. I've always wanted to help, rather it's taking care of people or just being a voice for others. Knowing I'm doing all I can for someone who can't and giving them a sense of peace makes it worth my wild. I continue my education in the medical veils.

I've spent most of my working years doing home health aide work. I go to clients homes and they to help them be as independent as they can be, but help in any way that they need it. I love being able to be there for clients when they dont have anyone else to talk to. I've been sick and was diagnosed with crohns and I needed alot of help for awhile so I underatand wanting privacy but still needing help in the bathroom. I understand how it feels to need help when you want to be able to do it all yourself. I'm very compassionate and very hard working.

I became a caregiver at the age of 19. I have been employed in nursing home facilities and by individuals (couples). I have cared for my grandparents while they suffered from cardiac issues, dementia, anurisuims, and kidney failure. I have owned and operated a group child care facility while my children were growing up. I have raised three of my own children, a neice, nephew, and two grandchildren. I have worked for over 14 years as our church nursery supervisor. I am fun, energetic, creative, dependable, and resourceful. I have cared for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, ALS, HNPP, heart conditions, incontinence, cancer. I am able to assist with personal needs, (dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, medications, housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal preparation, errands, appointments, yard work, physical and memory exercises), and most of all provide companionship. I feel it is important for individuals to engage in activities (as they are able). I am very resourceful, creative, reliable and dependable. I am trained empathic listening skills, grief, c-pap, bi-pap, cough assist, feeding tube, basic first aid, adult and child/infant CPR certification. I have a clean driving record.
