I've had schooling as a medical assistant, pharmacy technician, ACP caregiver & a level 1 medication aid, etc. I've worked in other job fields but realized my passion is to serve & take care of other. I believe I was directed into this profession because I watched my mother & grandmother take care of a lot of people so it's kind of apart of my DNA. I think the traits that make me a good candidate for caregiver are that I am empathetic to the client's situation, understanding that I am their to assist the client' in achieving their goals, and I'm an active listener and truly try to get a view of the entire situation going on. I have worked with many different populations with stronger emphases in mental health, developmental disabilities, and addiction and recovery. I have worked with clientele as young as 18 and as old as 90, so I am rather comfortable working with any age group.

The reason I became a caregiver is because helping people is my greatest attribute. I'm an outgoing young lady, gifted with the ability to make connections with people. I am easily adaptable to any environment, and I know how to care for, interact with and understand people with physical and mental disabilities. My favorite part about being a caregiver is connecting with my residents. Working in a nursing home has helped me find that each individual has their certain quirks, and routines. And what makes me the happiest is when I learn those routines and witness my residents happiness because of my assistance.

I became a caregiver for many reasons 1 from coming from a famity full of nurses and 2 I love helping people and being there for people and giving the best care To them. I work with clients with Dementia and Alzheimers and others who just need help with their daily living and activities. I provide Bathing, Cooking, Cleaning, Laundry, Medication set up And Making sure all Medications are taking as needed, Errands also are provided as needed.
