I recieved my CNA in 2018, I have NCI prevention training, CPR and first aid certification as well. I smile alot , I love talking what attracted me to be in this field was because my grandmother took care of her mom and one day I know I'll be doing the same It's my passion to help others. I'm a very cheerful person who enjoys caring for others. I became a caregiver in 2018 and thought I'm not sure if this is for me but we will see! Well 4 almost 5 years Later I love what I do no matter the person, age or problems they have Being able to help someone and be their friend at the same time make me enjoy my work much more. Being a healthcare worker is more than just a job/career to me it's my life and I enjoy every bit of it. My most recent achievement I am proud of as a caregiver was helping an elderly lady a couple of houses down from me and she had fallen outside there was no one around to help her at the time, my family and I had come home from a night out so I put my children in the house and ran over to make sure she was okay and proceeded to help her up check her scratches and bruises out and help her inside her home. It was actually the same lady who gave me a hard time at one point but that time nothing else mattered.

What I attracted me to being a caregiver is the fact I have always wanted to work in the medical field just not knowing what I wanted to do exactly but becoming a caregiver made me want to become a nurse. I enjoy most about caregiving is making clients day making them smile treating them not different than anyone else & giving them something to look forward to everyday! The most personal achievement I am proud of is pursuing my goals in the medical field and not stopping!

I am caring, professional, compassionate, openminded and very patient. My 11 years of experiance as a CNA and 3 years as a Medical Assistant have groomed me to be a great caregiver. When I was 19 my grandmother was diagnosed with demtia, she declined rapidly and our family did not want to put her in a nursing home but we needed some extra hands in her care. We decided to hire a caregiver to help us in giving my grnadmother the proper care while keeping her comfortable at home. The caregiver turned out to be a young, untrained and untrustworthy person, our family was devastated and wanted to keep everyone away from my grnadmother after that. Some time had passed and I thought to myself I would make a great caregiver to my grandmother and so did my family. That is where my desire to be a great caregiver was born.
