I've always been a giving person and caring for those in need of care and support is a passion of mine! It's not work when you love what you do! I love making a difference in people's life. I was born to do this.

I'm a very cheerful person who enjoys caring for others. I became a caregiver in 2018 and thought I'm not sure if this is for me but we will see! Well 4 almost 5 years Later I love what I do no matter the person, age or problems they have Being able to help someone and be their friend at the same time make me enjoy my work much more. Being a healthcare worker is more than just a job/career to me it's my life and I enjoy every bit of it. My most recent achievement I am proud of as a caregiver was helping an elderly lady a couple of houses down from me and she had fallen outside there was no one around to help her at the time, my family and I had come home from a night out so I put my children in the house and ran over to make sure she was okay and proceeded to help her up check her scratches and bruises out and help her inside her home. It was actually the same lady who gave me a hard time at one point but that time nothing else mattered.

A caregiver for 1 year

I'm retired, looking for something more on a part-time basis. I have been a care giver for Hospice in New Bern NC for years. I have worked with Dementia patients, with dietary restrictive patients, Cancer patients. I have done light cleaning, bathing, laundry, ensures med were being taken, alerted when meds needed. I enjoy ensuring that the people I have been paired with are well taken care of and the needs they have are met, if not by me, I don't mind stepping aside to allow for trained professionals work with the patient. I like to ensure the patient is getting all I have to give them. I am a Non- smoker I did not have the COVID shots or any of the boosters for COVID.

Hello, I have taken care of my aging parents and in-laws for the past several years and enjoy being the companion to others in need. I found caregiving very rewarding. I also have worked in the hospital and medical office settings for over 35 years as support staff. I enjoy arts and crafts and working with the young and old sharing my skills.
