The main reason I became a CNA to help my grandmother. Being raised by my grandmother, I want to do anything I could to help her as she has done for me until her passing. Since her death in 1977, I use my skills and experience helping other seniors. What I enjoy most about caring for seniors is knowing I have made a different in their lives. When I provide care to my clients, I'm providing care to myself, a very good friend, my grandmother, my mother, my grand father, because my clients are a part of my family. My greatest achievement in caring for my clients is when I can give them something that the doctor or medication cannot give and that's a sense that life doesn't have to be over. For example I have bought home clients from the hospital who was given two weeks to live, after caring for them they out live the two weeks by months and one lived almost a year longer than what the doctor had given. She was able to travel twice to her home state (from California to Ohio), driving herself to church, going out to lunch and dinner with friends. Those were the things she enjoyed doing before she became ill. Something about me, I received my C N A in high school (1976), I have three children two boys and one girl (decease). I also attended two colleges Long Beach City College in Long Beach, CA and Columbia MO online course. My major is Human Services. I'm currently working for a Home Care Agency who only take care of veterans.

I Love Helping And Caring For Other People. Giving Help Where Help Is Needed is My Passion. I've Been A Caregiver For Over 10 Years And It's Okay To Have The Experience But When You Have The Passion To Help Is A Whole Another Scale.

I'm very observant, a people's person who doesn't meet a stranger , strive to give my best to my residents . Caregiving has always been my call on earth .I have done caregiving on and off for 10 years. I love the feeling to know the elderly is taking care of, being helpful to them when they are unable.

I am a license CNA.with 24 yrs experience . years ago i took care of an elderly lady for a friend and my heart felt bad that she wasnt being care for so I gave her the best care i could and ever since then its what i have done . I like to spend time with the elderly they have wonderful heart and have the best wisdom ever. I have become family to some of my patients family and they are very happy that they choose me to care for their parents.

My father had a liver and kidney disease while my grandmother had dementia and CPOD. Taking care of both my father and grandmother was a blessing. I enjoy been able to make someone happy, feel loved and that they are cared for when they need it the most. Been able to care for your love ones so you have a peace of mind they are getting their everyday needs met in their home.

I love to help people. I'm a people person and I enjoy being needed. I laugh a lot and can be nervous but I warm up to people quickly. I also love animals and do well with dogs. My hobbies include art: painting/drawing, reading, writing, spending time with family/pets, cooking and taking walks in the park. I'm very proud of graduating highschool and how well I do in my career field. I also have obtained my CNA license and have my 80hr PCA class. I have my BLS certification as well.
