Became a caregiver to care for my Father in Law, Hospice trained me and he originally stayed in my home 5 months before passing at 92 years old. Since that time I've stayed with individuals and couples in different settings with different medical conditions. I am empathetic , happy Christian woman; enjoy helping others-giving. My name is Patricia Smith. My husband and I bought a half acre with a home on it. I live close to south mountain state park area. We bought this property to be closer to our family who live in Asheville, N.C. I really love caring for people. I have been doing this for 38 years now. I will help with whatever the family needs. I have so much love, compassion and patience to offer. I will work hard and you will not be disappointed. I am honest and dependable. I have a 2020 Toyota Corolla. I thank God for it. I am trying very hard to work in the Morganton area. I can work morning afternoons evenings and overnight. My availability is opened to please the needs of the family. I don't smoke. I don't drink alcohol. I don't do any drug's at all. I love God our heavenly father. I love my family and my only grandson. I love caring for people. What drove me to become a great caregiver is the love my elders should receive, respect, and to have someone that cherishes the days that they have. What attracted me to become a caregiver was, when i was a little girl I would watch my aunt and grandma care for my great grandma and grandpa. I thought it was the most loving thing and I knew that one day I was going to become help for someone. I enjoy the moments and the connections that are built, and love to make people happy. I'm proud that I got the chance to watch my family care of others, and for that I will be able to carry that on for my children and for their children to come.

I have previous experience as Cna 1&2 in nursing home facility and habilitation technician at state facility, group homes and in community. Those in need of help in basic daily care,, grooming and activities depend on others to make it possible. The feeling of helping and connecting with the people I work with makes the work fulfilling and enjoyable.

I have 6 years' experience in homecare. I love what I do. This is my calling which now is my passion. My patients appreciate the care I provide, and I give them the companionship they need. My scope of practice is to elevate the human spirit while they are in my care and to keep them safe while living at home.

I am detail oriented and I do what is asked of me. I enjoy being a caregiver because I see just the little things can have such an impact on someone. I enjoy making the individual feel like they matter because they do. I am proud of that I am the type of person that considers others. I show empathy and listen.

I've been a cna for 18 yrs and before that I was a pcs so I've been in Healthcare for a while .I've done alot of in home care also.

I started caregiving right out of high school as soon as i was of age to do so. I've always had a love for helping people and with a family full of nurses it felt right to jump right in. I was in school for nursing but changed my mind on that certain degree and plan on switching in the future. I have been a caregiver for more than 4 years and love each and every day of it. I have experience with many things all across the board and i'm never afraid to learn new things either. I have worked with hoyer lifts, gait belts, wheel-chairs, etc.. I have a love for helping and can't wait to assist you and your loved one with any needs!
