Hi! I've been in the home heath field for approximately 16 years on and off. I started in the nursing field at age 15 as a CNA working in a nursing home. I also worked in a Personal Care Home for 6 years. I enjoy taking care of seniors and individuals with disabilities. I love being able to care for others and the rewarding feeling that comes within. I'm a pround mom of 2 remarkable adult children and four amazing granddaughters!

Hello, my name is Jocelyn and it is a pleasure to virtually meet you! I am a very energetic, kind, and knowledgeable caregiver. I got attracted to being a caregiver upon my Great Grandfather's mental decline. I saw he needed help and knew I wanted to help as many people as I could to ensure they had the best quality of life possible. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is giving back to the community. I am proud to be the only person in my family to get a college degree and move out of the state of Wyoming!

As a Candystriper many years ago, I gravitated toward the elderly. As a nursing student (I didn't not complete), I found that it was the elderly that needed that one-on-one, extra time spent, relationship. While in college, I provided home care/companion care, and have on and off for the past 35+ years. I've had a myriad of clients with different concerns and at various stages of health. I spent two days w/my father-in-law while he was in hospice, and was present at his passing, calling TOD. I enjoy doing for others, providing them w/care and companionship while allowing family members to take a much-needed break. An "achievement" that I'm most proud of is giving a client back some semblance of pride. Though she suffered from dementia, she could still communicate and read. Her abject fear was to be alone and trapped. I made a sign that was at the foot of her bed that reminded her that she was never alone and that someone was always there. The sign had velcro dots, and each caregiver had a small sign w/their name on it that could be affixed for their shift. She was able to call us by name when she became panicked, fearing that she was alone (even though someone was always in the next room). When she sat at the dining room table eating her meal and because she didn't have the strength to push herself away from the table, she would fret that she was trapped and couldn't relax enough to enjoy her meal. I made a little tent card that had a picture of a dining table and chair, and it said "you have the power to move back from the table because we will help you". Both signs made a huge difference in her life...something so simple, yet so powerful.

I have five years experience as a Home Health Aide, and am currently in school to obtain my LPN. I have experience with hospice care, and volunteer at the Hart Comfort House whenever I can. I try not to take myself too seriously, and consider any shift where I can make my client laugh or smile to be a success.

My name is Tosha, and I have been an LPN for almost 10 years. As a nurse, some of my personality traits that help me excel in this role are empathy, patience, and attentiveness. I genuinely care about others and enjoy providing support to those in need. What attracted me to being a nurse was the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life. Being able to help others and provide them with comfort and care brings me a sense of fulfillment and purpose. One of the things I enjoy most about being a nurse is the meaningful connections I form with the individuals I care for. Building trust and being there for them during challenging times is incredibly rewarding. As for a personal achievement I'm proud of, I once helped a patient regain their independence after a serious injury. It took a lot of dedication and hard work, but seeing them regain their confidence and achieve their goals was truly gratifying.

I am a very caring and lovable person. I enjoy helping others the best that i possibly can. When i was younger I use to go to work with my step mom who was a CNA and i enjoyed being able to make a diffrrence in the residents lifes. The thing I enjoy the most about being a caregiver, is that i actually get to take time out of my day to meet new people and put a smile on others faces. I am most proud of the fact that i get to wake up knowing I am being the best mom I can be and also being the vest CNA that I Can be.

Hello, I really concern the care job, I got experience seven years doing as nails technician in Nails Salon in NYS, I also got the Nails license in NYS. And I got 10 years experience working in travel agents in Vietnam before I move to U.S. for living, I got 100 hours volunteer working in New York Cares as delivering food for the elderly, packed food..., I really love care other people.

Hi, my name is Danielle Dickison and I am a certified nurses aide, certified home health aide, and licensed practical nurse. I am certified in basic life support, CPR and AED, and first aid. Positive attributes to my personality that allow me to be a great caregiver are that I have a very big heart and I'm very caring. I treat all of my clients and residents as family. I am also cery dedicated to my work with a great worth ethic. The reason I chose to become a caregiver is because I have a family history of nurses, caregivers, and CNAs, and because I have always been drawn to caring for those who are no longer able to care for themselves independently. I feel as though as people who need help with activities of daily living, they deserve to have caregivers who genuinely care and value their career and the health, safety, and emotional and physical well-being. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping people, and feeling like I am making a difference in other people's lives.
