Hi, my name is Theresa. I'm from the Churchville area. I enjoy being a caregiver because I like hearing stories about how it was when my clients were growing up and how different it was for them, compared to today's world. I also, like being outdoors when it's a beautiful day and I also don't mind staying in on a rainy or cold day playing a board game or putting a puzzle together. I've got to say I've learned a lot from my clients and they're generation.

Over the years I lost all four of my grandparents to cancer. I became a caregiver because I want to help people that are going through the same obstacles they once were. Helping people is my passion. The best feeling in the world is making a slight difference in one's life, making someone smile is everything. When I take care of my resident's and I recieve a smile it makes me feel like I've done a wonderful job. What attracted me to caregiving is going to the nursing home everyday and seeing my grandfathers nurses and aides come in, they always had a smile on their face and it gave him one too. The things they did for him were amazing and I wanted to do the same for someone else's grandparents.

Hello! I've been a CNA for over 7 years now. I also have been doing home care for almost 2 years. I love working in the medical field. I prefer home care over the nursing facilities however. I love the 1 on 1 time I get to spend with my clients.

I have a criminal justice degree, management experience, a NY CNA certificate (17 yrs), and I recently graduated from school for my LPN, I have not taking the state exam yet, but will very soon.
