A brother who had Down syndrome he made me want to help others who have intellectual disabilities .

I love helping people whether it be just companionship, house duties or errands to run. They want to feel appreciated and loved. That they can confine in me. I love seeing the friendships that build when helping someone. The knowledge of just knowing you made the person feel better or feel like family makes everything worthwhile.

I like being a caregiver because of all the new people I meet and get too know , it's very interesting hearing about there life and what they had went through growing up. I'm proud of always making my patients happy , all the patients I had always gave my job compliments about me .

My other elderly neighbor had lung cancer and decided against treatment. I was with her every step of the way. Appointments, Grocery Shopping,, Companionship, Cleaning and Cooking. When I say that my best friend was 74 years old when she passed away, I mean it. Friendship has no age barrier.
