Hello! My names Latoya. I was a teacher for 20yrs in Virginia. Moved to the Myrtle Beach area about 3 years ago. I've always had an interest non working with children, but also just working with people in general. I always been a people person. I love to establish and build relationships. Love to see that I can make a difference in someone's life and make them smile. Love seeing them happy, love to help them as well. Im compassionate, empathetic, a good listener, reliable, caring, considerate. Im a crafty and creative person as well. Just to name a few characteristics that portray. Since I moved to Myrtle beach I had many opportunities to venture out and work with amazing people. Whether it was me working at Hilton Grand Vacations, to working in a Behavioral Health Facility as a Behavioral Technician to an Assisted Living at one facility as a Activities Assistant and and the Art Therapist to another facility as a Med Tech/Caregiver to and RBT and now here. I came from a family where we all worked into the medical field caring and always helping others. A few years ago my father became ill and was diagnose with stomach cancer along with having dementia. I realized being a care giver and caring for others it took a special person to do this and I realized that I had to find someone just like me to help with caring for my father until his passing. I'm a mother of four little ones. I have always been a humble and given person and i love helping others. I decided to get my cna license a couple years ago and so far I love what I do. I love interacting with the residents and getting to know them on a personal level so that I can better assist them. Every resident isn't the same and I make sure I get to know each and every one of them. I'm proud of myself because I do not plan on stopping and I plan to go for my RN this year.
