I have extensive experience with adults and adolescents with mental illness/developmental disabilities. Experience with adults with Alzheimer's and dementia for over 5 years as well. I started out assisting in teaching western horse back riding lessons to children and adults for over 10 years, I worked my way to babysitting and private care to adults with IDD. And then began working with agencies that provided services to adults and children with mental health and IDD diagnosis. My passion is working with people, especially those diagnosed with physical or mental disabilities.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am a very homely down to earth type person. Very patient and hardworking. I a care a lot about other people. Especially our elderly family members, because.. hey they took care someone their self once. I think people deserve the best of attention and care because in improves their quality of life and they get to stay in their comfort zone. I love to spend time with elderly people and listen to what they have to say. It allows be to be able to make sure that I know they are treated like human beings and that all of their needs are taken care of. My 2 personal achievements that I have completed in home health so far was staying with 2 people for many years each until the passed away. They became my best friends and then family.

I am 20 years old. I graduated from Gate City High School in 2014. I attended Scott County Technical School and took a course to become a CNA. I passed the class but never got my certification for CNA. I am CPR certified. I have a passion for taking care of people! I love being outdoors, crafting, and cooking.

I am a Physical Therapist who is changing the direction of my career. I want move outside of my PT career but continue to develop relationships with my clients and help them maximize their quality of life by providing the care they need. I have worked with most medical issues, including dementia, for many years in every setting, from hospital to skilled nursing to Homecare and have helped with toileting, feeding and all aspects of mobility. I love to have fun and find that humor and compassion make people enjoy being with me and get the most out of our time together. Hi my Name is Anita. I have 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren that are my world. I spend all my free time with them. I have been providing in home assistance since my retirement at Kmart 2 years ago. I currently help a lady who has Parkinson's. I love to hike, cook and spend time outdoors. I also love to help people.

I'm a great caregiver because I have worked with so many different people I am able to adapt to their individual needs. I have an outgoing personality and I enjoy making people feel special. I started caregiving when I was young. I have one uncle who was born with epilepsy and he's mentally handicapped. I enjoy the moments of joy I can share with my clients and the peace of mind that I can bring their loved ones. I take lots of pictures of our outings and smiles to share with loved ones. When working with my last client I streamlined the time card process and I also found misuse of the clients debit card by one of the other employees. I also started a few different procedures for everyone to fallow so we could be more consistent with his care. I started all of these while working closely with Bessie and she said I was a God send to her family and she was so grateful I was there for her father.
