Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own. I try to get to know each person as what they really are: an incredible human being, with a LOT to offer. I always try to learn something from my incounters, no matter how brief the engagement. I've tried many different jobs through out my life and have found the most satisfaction in caring for others. I enjoy helping others in any way I can. I'm a single mom of an 11 year old boy. I've been a CNA since 2001. I've gone to school at PCC, specializing in gerontology, end of life care, and dementia. I've worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and in home. I'm a hard worker and am always trying to come up with new ways to improve the lives of the ones I care for.

I became a caregiver in 2011 I am CPR certified,I have my Nurse Delegation,Dementia &Alzheimer's, Developmental Disabilities speciality training,Mental Health ,Insulin Delegation i have all my certificates of competition. It is my passion to take care of others it has always been my dream job since I was little I wanted to become a nurse, I enjoy working with the clients of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds and have a demonstrated ability to develop great relationship with them and their families. Moreover, I am trustworthy and responsible person who takes great pleasure in all kinds of caregiving tasks. Besides, I am dedicated to work hard and always accept challenges to produce winning outcomes. Over and above, I am an active team player who is able to work effectively with managers and co-workers. I have been in many setting witch includes an adult family home where I cooked,cleaned,bathed,and did medication administrations along with patient adls with 6 residents to myself for 12 hours a day. Ive also worked at rehabilitation facilities,assisted living as a med tech. My favorite thing about what i do is knowing that i play a special part in someone's life who can no longer take of themselves and i get the privilege to do so and having the trust of it being all in my hands. Im very proud of myself for sticking with being a caregiver and getting all the diffrent trainings i have and experience i have gotten from it.

I started volunteering at my local senior center as a teenager, and from then I knew I wanted a career with elders. I was given an opportunity to caregive 3 years ago, and I quickly worked up the latter to running a house. I have found myself gaining trust of my residents easily and maintaining a personal yet professional relationship with them. Recently I completed NA training and am awaiting my State Board testing for my CNA license.

I am patient,caring and love making people smile! If I can make someones day or night better by just being there,it makes it all worth it! I have worked with dementia, alzheimer's, stroke and hospice. I enjoy helping people remember there life history and every day things. Facility, home health, elderly care, dementia, diabetes, I am HIV and bloodborne pathogens certified, cpr and first aide certified and have my CNA certification in Washington state. Hello my name is Karla, I have been a caregiver since 1998. Besides caregiving I also have a love for animals, dogs, cats, horses, etc. I live on a small farm in Vader. I knew I wanted to be a caregiver when I was 16, my grandfather moved in with us and we hired hospice to help us care for him. I was in awe of the help we recieved from these wonderful ladies. I worked in a hospital for 20 years. I started out in housekeeping then went to school to recieve my Certified Nurses Aide certificate for Washington state. I have worked in many aspects for the hospital from babies to hospice, emergency room to recovery. I choose to do in home health care when I moved to Vader. I enjoy in home caregiving because I get to meet very interesting clients and families. I enjoy the slower pace of caring for a client one on one. From bathing, playing games, Dr appointments, cooking and cleaning their homes. I am happy to do what it takes to keep your family member safe and happy in their home environment.
