I began my caregiving career as a skilled CNA in a nursing home at the Care Center in Oakdale. Once I perfected my skills and with the proper work-methods, I resumed my work ethics at Oak Valley Hospital in the Rehabilitation Center; and was promoted by The Director of Nursing to a RNA position ( Restorative Nursing Assistant) working directly with professionals such as PT, PTA, Speech Specialists, RNs and Doctors. It was my absolute pleasure to see my patients regain their health and return home to loved ones. With my acquired experience and knowledge, great compassion and kindness, I became an independent caregiver and have worked as a private caregiver for over 15 yrs. I love what I do. I have met many wonderful clients and family loved ones; and graciously, I have received many letters of recognition. Through my caregiving process, I have worked diligently along side Hospice, applying my nursing skills to bring comfort to dying patients. My goal is to bring a quality of life to my clients with much joy and with a compassion filled with gentle kindness. I have loved being in home healthcare for a long time. I have found my niche, per say. I am a positive but gentle personality. I can talk when needed & be quiet when needed also. I treat people in their homes exactly how they want to be treated & do what they like having done. Kinda like "Burger King," saying, "having it your way." It is your home & I try to make it be how you want it to continue to be. I am very patient & want those I care for to feel good when I am there. I do not plan on changing their care plan & what is already working unless the client or family tells me otherwise. I enjoy so many aspects of the job. I enjoy doing for the client. I enjoy cooking their meals when needed & I take my time with the client. I will do for them anything they would need me to do & make their days enjoyable. My #1 priority is client safety & feeling comfortable with me as their caregiver. I have lots of experience, I have my CNA lic here in CA also was a Medical Assistant & I am an LVN but not licensed in the state of CA. I came back to my home state in 2011 & did not take the test as I was going to do something else when I arrived back. With my caregiving experience I do not think I will get licensed out here. I have let too much time laspe, unfortunately.
