I have a 15 years experiences as a caregiver, and companionship. I'm honest, a giver, hard working, loving person. I've worked with people's who have dementia, bed ridden, legally blind, cancer, and alzheimers, dialysis, Diabetic, kidney disease, and heart problems. I've helped them with cooking, bath, lifting, dressings, shopping, tidying up, laundry, walking, excercises, and taking them to appointments. I treats all my clients with respect., and love. What makes me a great caregiver cuz I'm a people person and I have compassion and I care about how the how they feel. Well I love most about being a caregiver is that I can help and show that I care and that I'm a living person and I give joy and laughter and comfort out of helping others. My mom was a CNA for 40 years before she passed away and I've been volunteering since I was 12 years old so that's what motivates me to be a caregiver. I'm proud of being a mother I'm proud of being a grandmother I'm proud of just being a person as in the community I'm proud of myself of learning going back to school getting my caregiver certificates and getting all my certificates that I have in ADLs patient care helper I'm just proud of me being a person who I am I'm proud like I said being a mother and a grandmother of course and a wife and I'm proud that I took care of my mom my dad and my grandfather before they passed away.

I've been a CNA for 19yrs & a Caregiver for over 30yrs. I love taking care of people; learning about peoples lives & encouraging them. I love doing Respite Care. I love to interact with pediatric, geriatric & babies.

I have been in the medical industry my entire life. Caregiving is definitely the most rewarding part of the industry for me. I love making later life more liveable, enjoyable and worth while to seniors in the final years of life. I am energetic, compassionate, capable and loving all in one. I am a very open ,honest and fun person. I can easily adapt and improvise to almost any situation. I have worked in the medical field most of my life. Mostly in doctors offices and hospital settings. It has always been a passion of mine. I have 3 children who have different disabilities so I am capable of taking care of different degrees of medical situations. After raising my children I decided to get into home care. I enjoy working and helping people but also able to spend time with my family .

My patience and special attention given to each client gives me great pleasure in assisting the clients in whatever their needs may be. My Mother had an aneurism which originally drew me to being a caregiver. The joy of being a caregiver is the appreciation that I receive in return from each of the patients. Usually with most patients they do not have a large circle of friends or family so they are so appreciative to receive the assistance of another person. Personal achievements are the everyday joy that I can give a patient on the needs that each individual requires.

I am a go getter, I enjoy conversation and I enjoy what I do. I believe myself to be a very sympathetic and empathetic individual and that makes me a great caregiver because I can help my client by relating to their issues and reassuring them things will be ok. I am attracted to being a caregiver because I want nothing more than to help people. I believe every person is beautiful and they all share their own unique stories. I love to hear them all. I am proud that I can say I have been doing this work for over seven years and I wouldn't change it for the world. All the people I meet are amazing and wonderful people. I go home every night feeling accomplished that I might have made a difference in somone's day.

Being a caregiver is the start to being an excellent nurse. I am currently working on my nursing degree and would like to gain more experience as a caregiver in addition to my education.
