I enjoy helping people. I'm very dependable, loyal, thoughtful, patient, and extremely compassionate. I do have a positive "upbeat" personality. ( I can tone it down when necessary ) I'm also a great cook, enjoy outdoors activities, playing cards, listening, talking and watching older classic movies. I'm currently a student going through LVN school, so I have a quite the background when it comes to patient care. Not only do I enjoy helping out with caregiving, but it could also help me learn more towards my scope or practice. Going along with that is also learning about those with different diagnoses and how to help in different ways, which would make me a better care giver for anyone I help! I've worked in health care for nearing 20+ years (I started working at a young age) doing everything from private pay in home care, being a CNA in multiple skilled nursing facilities in the north state, patient monitoring in a 5* hospital, being a resident aide in a locked memory care unit, a med tech for a near 200 bed assisted living facility (ALF) to running two separate 6 bed ALFs specializing in dementia care. My heart and passion is for caregiving. I love people & I love making a connection with them. I'm extremely reliable/punctual, patient, trustworthy, compassionate, and caring. I'll care for your loved one as I'd wish for my own to be cared for, with the utmost dignity and respect. I'm a full time student, homeschooling, single mom of two little ones (7 & 3). I'm putting myself through school now and have my two little ones Sunday evenings to Thursday afternoon. I have pretty open availability from Thursday night until Sunday/Monday morning. I'm happy to do small shorter shifts, overnights or a full weekend chunk depending on what suits your situation and your family just message me and we can talk! Helping others is what I love doing. Working with children from an early age has taught me many skills, including patience, compassion, understanding, and gentleness. Seeing so many elder people who need help from a day to day basis, has made me think back to my childhood and experience taking care of my grandmother. As well as the promise I made to take care of her as an adult, and sadly wasn't able to. Being a caregiver is something that helps me feel closer to my grandmother and fulfill the promise I made to her. An achievement I'm very proud and grateful for is becoming the woman my grandmother new I would be and being able to have conversations with people who have been have seen the world longer then I could imagine.

My Name is Katrina but go by Nina for short! I have been a Certified Nurse Assistant since the age of 16. It has always been my dream to help people. I have 3 children one of which has special needs! The reason I bring up my special boy is because he has taught me more about patience, understanding and compassion than any kind of school/ work training. I am very easy to get along with, I learned so much caring for my 86 year old mom, the biggest being compassionate and understanding about her feelings, Her medical was extensive so I have also learned the necessary tools to assist in an emergency . My mother lived longer then expected, I think companionship, and having someone who cared made a big difference, knowing I can make a difference in someone's life is a wonderful feeling. experience with dementia, alzheimers , bathing, medications, special culinary diets, dressing, assist with mobility, hair grooming, arthristis and soft bones, house cleaning , and dr appointments, also pet caretaker.
