I am an AAMA certified medical assistant. I am currently employed with Scripps Health, and looking for in home caregiving opportunities. I am punctual, reliable, hardworking, and will treat your loved one like my own family. My mother had spina bifida and ESRD, so I am well versed in home health care and what it entails. As a CMA I am fully vaccinated (including the Covid vaccine) and CPR certified. I am particularly interested in night shifts. I am experienced in hospice care, memory care, senior care, and all aspects of assistance. I have a reliable vehicle and a clean driving record, and I am willing to help transport your loved one for errands, doctors' visits, and anything else they might need. When I was applying for different kind of jobs (manufacturing, warehouse) where I had more than 15 years experience, I was offer a position as caregiver of a lovely 90 years old lady, we got along since the first moment and became her part time cg. I found out that I have that special touch so much needed when working with elderly. I treat them with respect. I know it must not be easy losing your independence and if at home, seeing "strangers" coming into your house and practically take control over your stuf. That's why I like asking them (when posible) how they like things being done in their house.

I have compassion for the elderly. Seeing that we all will one day be in their shoes. I pray one day to receive.., the same compassionate, honest, and reliable care. I even was hired to work at a Senior facility (Monte Vista). Realizing my calling was in in-home services. I chose not to accept the position. I have done several years of private in-home care. Hi, I first became a caregiver because I wanted to know what it was like helping someone in need. After my first client I realized how much I love being a caregiver. I enjoy everything about my job. I feal very lucky and blessed to have found my calling. I love learning new things especially if they are medical related. I have done case management in a residential home which included scheduling appointments, ordering medications and/or medical equipment, Interview and training new caregivers and weekly meal planning. I have worked with patients with COPD, hoyer lift,MS,Dementia and Alzheimer's and skin cancer treatments. I have also experience in hospice care. The bond that I create with my clients is a wonderfull experience. I like to bake and try new recepies. On my spare time I like to go shopping, do arts and crafts, read non fiction books and watch movies. Oh and I recently started painting.! I think everyone has something unique about themselves and what ever their talent is or was I like to get inspired by it and try new things.

I've been a caregiver for 5 years, and honestly I've loved it ever sense. I love that I can help seniors with there regular daily activities. Them telling me about all the successful things they did is so inspiring. What has helped me be a better care giver is being more patient everything is done one thing at a time. It's always important to me to see my client happy.
