I have experience working in assisting living environments. I also been working in in- home care settings. I worked +2 years in working with disabled adults. Skilled in assisting patients with daily activities. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver was when I would see my mom caring for her dad and she would have a hard time and she didn't know how to find help and I would try helping her even if it was helping to set up clothes for the day or helpings in making a meal. So now that I'm getting older I want to be prepared to one day be able to personally care for my parents. I'm looking to leverage my passion & commitment to clients well- being to improve their quality of life. For 8 years I managed a Spinal Clinic that primarily served the elderly. I assisted them with mobility, with comfort when they were nervous about new treatments, and answered questions they were too afraid to ask the doctor. I also took care of my grandmother growing up. She lived in a little house next to us but wasn't able to fully care for herself. I've assisted my own aging and diabetic mother with everything from bathing, toileting, preparing meals, running errands, etc--specifically after major illnesses and surgeries. I work great in all environments male or female. im a quick learner and a good cook (so I've been told).
