Hello, my name is Takia Hill, and I proudly provide (medical) services to those in need of care by offering a complete range of personal support and companionship services. I provide patients with one-on-one care in the privacy and comfort of their house or senior living community. I assist with day-to-day activities, including bathing, grooming, bathroom assistance, assistance with walks, gym time, and physical therapy. I also provide hands-on service with transportation and meal preparation according to patients' plans and needs. I make it a point always to allow and encourage residents to do as much on their own as possible while having the reassurance of my close supervision and encouraging words. I Provide direct and indirect patient care, Transport patients, via wheelchair or accompany ambulatory patients, and transfer and offer assistance during moving of patients into and out of wheelchairs, toilets, beds, and other equipment. I have experience with assisting patients requiring help with feeding, toileting, and all other ADL care. I am A loving, caring, and hardworking Home Health Aide with years of experience supporting and nursing elderly patients. My main focus is to connect with patients and their families personally, to gain their trust so I can make them feel safe and comfortable. While providing top-tier aid, assistance, service, encouragement, and companionship. I take this profession and these duties very seriously, thus making this more than just a job.

Since I could remember I've always wanted to help people. Growing up I watched my great grandmother helping everyone that she could. I was always being told that to be in the healthcare field it takes a special person. While that is true I believe that person has to have the passion and love for what they do. I have been in the medical field since 2007. I enjoy this profession due to the fact that I am able to help those who can't or need the help to do their daily activities and it makes me feel good knowing that I am able to give the person and their family that sense of relief knowing they have someone here who cares and genuinely wants to be there and do the best possible care they can to improve the quality of care and life. I've always gone above and beyond for anyone I've worked for and had a resident who was very hard to please go out of her way to write a note and post on the bulletin for all to see thanking me. For staying after my shift to put her to bed bc no one else would do it and I stayed an extra hr and half to do it and didn't complain in fact I kept asking if she was comfortable or needed. Anything else and she couldn't believe how sweet I was and even requested that if I was on shift I'd be her care giver.

Hi there, my name is Shawn I am a 38 year old divorced mother of two. I have a passion for helping others and enjoy spending quality time with the elderly. I moved to Florida roughly 6 years ago and was given an opportunity to visit a local nursing home during my visit I was rather shocked to say the least. I understand the employees don't always allow for much one on one time but the amount of elderly I frequently witnessed not receiving any companionship broke my heart. I made it a commitment to spend 2 hours 3 days a week at this facility to interact with anyone that wanted the interaction. We would play games, cut coupons to help keep their hands moving, go for small group walks in the fenced area and have actual conversations. I am looking to build an actual friendship with each client if they want to go to a nice lunch I am willing to take them, a walk in the park, to the mall , just out for a drive I am willing to do it just to know they are enjoying their day means I have done good for someone outside of my home.

I think being open and friendly and wanting so much to help people makes me a great caregiver. What has attracted me to being a caregiver is knowing that I'm helping somebody do things that they can't normally do for themselves. What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is pretty much everything I love helping people I love making them smile I love learning about them and their family and doing what I can to help and give them support and anyway I can.
