Since I was raised from birth by my grandparents, who also took care of my handicapped mom since 10 years before my birth, I've had a lifetime of being in an environment of senior care and disabled care. Starting in high school, I had a larger role in caring for my grandad and mom with medical issues, and this role increased as my grandad had cancer and various treatments for it as well as increased hospital stays. I have a great, genuine desire to help people, and I'm skilled at it too. God has continued growing my skills of care and problem-solving as I continue caring for my 4 step-kids and husband, and my mom when needed. I also have 2 dogs and a cat, so I'm fine being around pets; I have a lot of previous experience caring for dogs, cats, and horses when working for families as a nanny.

"I AM VITAL TO THE FUTURE OF NURSING." This is the motto I want to live up to. I am a devoted and self-assured Certified Nursing Assistant seeking to impact the lives of others and provide exceptional patient care. Serving as a caregiver is a very rewarding experience for me and I enjoy it fully because of my love, dedication, and passion for caring for others. Any opportunity to showcase this and reach my goals will be deeply appreciated. I know first-hand and from experience what it is to want nothing the very best care for your loved one. A few years ago, my dear father became extremely ill and was going to need 24/7 medical and companion care. I unselfishly made an instant decision to quit my job at the time and prolong returning to school to take care of him. During this time, I learned a lot about myself as a person and patient care, thus confirming my dreams to pursue a career in the medical field. It also made my father and I's relationship blossom even more and I am forever grateful that I was able to be an integral part of his recovery. I am confident that I will provide a very comfortable, dignified, and enriching experience for your loved one. I am a pleasure to work with and take my responsibilities seriously along with integrity. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

I am a care giver naturally. I love helping others. I took care of my parents before they passed my Dad had cancer and wanted to stay home until he passed and I helped him through his journey. Feeding changing his bed administering pain meds and checking vitals. My Mom had a stroke several years later and kelp her at home for 5 years. I trained as a CNA but because of personal reasons was unable to finish . I can take vital signs, bath, assist to bathroom cook clean anything necessary to help a loved one stay at home and be as comfortable as possible. Even though my last job didn't envole complete care to an individual I did assist them several them times over my 20 years when they were sick. I've raised 3 children 3 grandchildren. I'm married to a wonderful caring husband. It's unfortunate in this time of my life because of covid I am now having to seek employment because my employer is down sizing . I look forward to meeting my next family to help and take care of their needs . I love to serve others. I choose to look up not down when things take a crazy turn. Looking forward to what lies ahead.

I decided to become a caregiver at a very young age. My grandmother's battle with cancer had a huge influence on my decision to join the medical field. I applied at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation to participate in their CNA classes. I was more than thrilled to have gotten a call saying I was accepted, this was in May of 2014. I was certified, then later started working as a CNA there. I left in February of this year to try a more personal type of caregiving. I honestly didn't like being in a rush while feeding, grooming, bathing, or just simply helping someone. I went to a home health agency in Rome, GA and worked with several different clients. I had two full time clients both located in Lafayette, Ga that I cared for 12 hours a day, 4 or 5 days a week. Needless to say, I was extremely attached and they were like my own grandparents. They both passed away, and because of lack of clients, I decided to go back full time at Oakview. I have absolutely fallen in love with being a caregiver, it gives me a feeling that nothing else can compare to. I love to care for others, and every patient I've ever had immediately becomes family to me. I get along very well with other people and have a lot of patience. The home health agency I worked for actually sent me to the difficult clients because they knew I could soften them up! I have never had a complaint from a client or a family member, and I intend to keep it that way. If you have any questions or would like more information, fee

I became a caregiver years after my mother passed away from breast cancer. Taking such good care of her was fulfilling to me to know she was getting the ultimate care she deserved. I started taking care of others who's families knew me personally and I was so appreciated for my being able to relate to the experience that I realized I was very good at assessing the needs of the client to assist the families in there time of need. Its very rewarding to me and its an accomplishment to be strong for others in there time of distress.
