I have worked as a Caregiver for over 15 years. Went to college for LPN. I enjoy working to help & care for people, it is very satisfying to me, I feel it stems from growing up in a large family. I have three grown children & care for three of my Grandchildren full time & love every minute of it, they all are loving, kind, generous, & intelligent for their ages. The reason I became a health care giver is because my grandfather was put on hospice care and I would help the hospice nurses care for him being only 8 years old I seen the care he was given and I wanted to return that love to others. She is a smart cookie and I admirered her sweet and kind heart. What I like about being a caregiver is the fact that I get to help others when they really need it. I have been working as a caregiver since I was 19 years old and I am now 27. I took care of my grandfather who had ALS, my great grandmother with Alzheimer's, and my moms dad who had liver disease. I did home healthcare last year and enjoyed it but the company was very unprofessional. I am planning on going back to college in a year or so to finish my nursing career as a registered nurse.
