I am a highly motivated Caregiver/Medical Assistant with over twenty years of experience working with children and seniors in both the medical office, school setting, as well as in-home care. As a Caregiver, I assist ,y clients with bathing, maintaining hygiene, toileting, preparing meals, assistance with feeding, regulating medications, light housekeeping, laundry, scheduling appointments, grocery shopping, and transportation to and from appointments. I help my clients with Physical Therapy exercises. I incorporate activities to keep the mind sharp. I have taught basic American Sign Language for three years and help individuals to communicate their needs easier through signing. I make sure that my client's safety and comfort comes first. My duties consisted of entering data, filing, typing 45 WPM, ordering labs and x-rays results, calling in prescriptions, organizing medical records, scheduling appointments; direct patient care by taking vitals, preparing for minor procedures, removing sutures, dressing changes, vision and hearing screening, phlebotomy, inserting catheters, giving injections, administering Nebulizer treatments, and providing patient education. I have been responsible for ordering and stocking cabinets in each exam room, and checking on basic maintenance of office equipment, which include the copier, scanner, fax, and printer.
