My name is Hope and I'm 19. I learned how to be a caregiver from my mom. Growing up I always had to help take care of her because of her lvad. I was always going to the doctors with her and wanted to be one when I grew up. The things I enjoy most about being a caregiver is connecting with the clients and their families. I love hearing about what jobs the clients worked, and learning about what kind of hobbies they like to do. Having a good relationship with the client and the clients family is very important to me to help the client get the best care!

One of the things I am most proud of is that I took care of my mother who was dying of lung cancer. I was the best advocate for her that I could be. I kept her safe and comfortable to live out the last days of her life. I have done a little of everything in the medical field. I have worked in the ER, assisted living, home health and hospice and live in private duty. When I am not working I enjoy reading, camping, and spending time with my family.
