After my assistance with bathing and grooming the client easily picks out clothing for the day ahead. I prepare meals and remind clients to take medication if needed. I make sure a nutritious breakfast is served . They love reminders of family. Viewing family pictures and things in their home that makes it a home again. Clients love when we go for walks to get exercise rather in a wheel chair or walker. Range of motion exercises helps keep the body moving and agile. I'm just their to make them sure of themselves again.

I became interested in care giving because my Mom was in an automobile accident which left her paralyzed & my sister-in-law was in an automobile accident which left her with a brain injury. I was my mom's caregiver from age 17 until I was married at age 22. While living in Greenwood, IN, I worked for Companion Care as a cargiver. My Mom moved in with us in 2010, I took care of her until she passed in 2016. I enjoy helping people to be able to live at home without having to live in a nursing home. I prefer not to bath & dress, I helped my mom with bathing & dressing, however it was something I did because it needed to be done, I was never comfortable with this part of her care. If I get to know the person and they need help every once in awhile, I will do anything to help them. I was with 2 of my clients in Greenwood, IN until they passed away, I prefer the one on one attention I can give when working with an individual in their home.
