I'm a very compassionate and loving person that likes to help families and there loved ones.I became a caregiver after experiencing on helping my mother after she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and Brain Cancer.My sisters and I took care of our mother with a lot of love and compassion. After this experience I wanted to become a caregiver and help families and seniors with everyday tasks and be a friend companion. Hello, I'm Tamika I live in Hoyt, Kansas. I've been a Certified Nursing Assistant since 2014 in the state of Kansas. Previously, I was a Certified Nursing Assistant/Medication Aide in Nebraska started in 2011, before becoming certified in Kansas. I really enjoy working with patients/clients who need assistance with activities of daily living, whether its getting up and ready for the day, medication reminders, ambulation assistance, meal preparation, or just compainonship. I became a Certified Nursing Assistant because I enjoy making someones day bright by just a simple smile. I'm a single mom of a 4 year old boy. I work August through May as a Special Education Para with visually impaired children, for local school district.

I became a medical assistant to help people. In working in a physician office I had the experience of working with all ages. In this day I have seen more elderly people trying to live at home who need some help with care in order to stay at home. Some of the elder are trying to stay together as long as possible but due to age can not give the care that is need for the other person. With insurance not wanting to cover for a long stay at a hospital for patient, more are sent home to recover and are in need of extra help in order to recover. This can put a strain on the family life of having to take care of an ill member and with help can help in the recover of the love one and aid in making family life more normal. With help of a care giver it can relieve the burden which is placed on a family member when a love one is ill or in need of care. With my life experience I have work with many different types of people, old to young, some better off than others, and all types of races. We all have family and loves ones that at time need help whether it is from a family member or some one else we all can use a helping hand.

Hello! I am graduating in December from Benedictine College and will be staying in Atchison until May, so I am looking around for a job during that time. I have been studying pre-physical therapy and have just been accepted into KU Med Physical Therapy program. I am CPR and First Aid certified and I have experience as a 24-hour caretaker. I love to cook, go on walks, and make DIY crafts. I am certified in Teaching Level One Yoga and I love helping with strength exercises and encouraging activity.

I have always been interested in jobs that deal with the care of a persons lifestyle and I never hesitate when it comes to lending a hand to someone who needs it. I am very flexible with schedules and dealing with different clients, and I can easily adapt to new environments and the surroundings. I have experience in both home care and in a skilled nursing facility. My favorite part of my job on top of helping others is getting to know the resident I am caring for. As a caregiver you can spend more time with your client getting to know them better, which makes caring for them more of like a hobby than a job.

I believe that I am a good care giver because I am so easy to get along with and I just everyone. I decided to go in the direction of health care because I feel that it is almost second nature to me to help out where and when I can with being a mother of 4 kids. This asks what attracted me to the healthcare provision and to be honest in the very beginning it actually just kinda fell right in my lap. My husband because disabled and I was a stay at home mom with no schooling or work underneath me and it was time I had to help support my family. It was just the right timing that Kne-cap was running a program where they was helping people go through school to get them somewhere. I decided that was my opportunity and to grab it while it was available. I am proud of myself because I got both my CNA and HHA with the help and got a job and stuck with the first one and just loved my client. From there I decided to take it even farther and get my associates degree in Business Health while working full-time and being a mom of 4 small kids. I have no work history for this under my belt at this giving time.
