Approximately 15 years ago, I became my mother's Caregiver after she came home from Rehab for a major stroke. After working in a Family Medical office for a couple years, I began my Caregiver career. In the past 10+ years, I have worked as a Home Health Aide and CNA, providing many services to families and their loved ones, including (but not limited to) Alzheimers, Dementia, Quadriplegic, and Hospice Care. Services provided include companionship, transportation, meal prep, feeding, light housekeeping, pericare, input/output, taking and recording vitals, catheter care, colostomy care, medication reminders, assistance with bathing, showers, dressing, transfers, wound care maintenance, and oxygen maintenance. My special focus has been with Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I am a CNA and certified in CPR and First Aid, and continue to work on completing additional medical courses and pursue avenues to help strengthen me as a Professional Caregiver. I also maintain current Individual Professional Liability Insurance. Your loved ones peace of mind, comfort and health is my priority.

I've worked in the Medical Field since 2005 specializing in Geriatric Care. I started as a Home Health Aide working for Hospice, then received a position at a Nursing Home where I fell in love with residents suffering from Dementia and Alzheimer's. I am also a CHT (Hemodialysis Technician), MHT (Mental Health Technician), and a Veterinary Technician working at the world renowned Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. I am a very hard working and compassionate person with a strong sense of integrity. I'm highly educated and trained in Dementia and Alzheimer's. This is where I shine! A calm and structured environment is important, and knowing when a patient is, "Sun-downing," is a must in my line of work. I find that gentle redirection and patience helps eliminate any stress, and or, triggers. I will make sure your loved one gets the best possible care, all the while maintaining dignity, respect, and encouraging independence. My responsibilities also include: ADL's (Activities of Daily Living), meal preparations, housekeeping, companion care, assisting with showers, assisting with medications, pet care, and running errands.
