I am that funny, deeply caring, easy to get along with person that loves to make people smile. Laughter is good for the soul! I am also genuine, honest and very trustworthy. I am a 35 year old mom to two amazing young men, a housecat/dog :), and am recently married. I would not call this interest in caregiving as job but more so as being someone's friend. I am someone who loves to lend a helping hand, pick you up when you are down, have that listening ear you need and the heart to simply love. I decided to share my abilities as caring for someone else because I simply love people. I do indeed have professional employment skills but to care for another human being isn't something you can take a class on. I was raised by two amazing parents and my personality, my big heart was instilled in me by them both long before I was even born. I take on a rather motherly role with anyone and this has been since I was a child. I was born with an ol' soul! Most would say that I am an empathic and open minded individual. I have worked in the healthcare field since 2020. I started in long term care and currently work for a home health agency. As a young lady, I inspired to help others in their time of need. Which attracted me to begin my journey in long term care. I enjoy being able to assist others when they can not assist themselves. My name is Torrion Laurent, and I am 23 years old. Some of my previous work experience has been caregiving. I love being able to help and encourage people who can't fully show up for themselves.

I'm a caregiver of 4 years paid, but a lot more not. Caregiving is my calling in life. It's what I love to do. I love being able help the elderly and special needs. I have experience in home health, home healthcare, nursing home experience, hospice experience as well as end of life experience as of recently. I love being a caregiver to not just help those kinds of people out, but rather be there for them in many ways. I never allow my clients to feel like their alone whenever I'm on the shift. Because it's something that I refused to allow my poor daddy to have to go through. To me it's just cruel. I'd say my greatest achievement thus far is being able to say with pride and honor that I was able to be there for my father in that regard. So much so, that he basically trusted me with his life. Meaning I was the one to be able to give him his final ride/journey on this earth. It's something that I don't boast about a lot but I do have clients that remind me so much of him, that in return for the taking a chance on me, I give them the gifts of companionship, empathy, a shoulder to cry on should it be needed, a strong pillar to lay all their fears and worries away, and never having to worry/wonder if their alone. I always reassure them that I'm always here.
