I I am very good at my job and care deeply for the people I take care and treat them as I would my own. I have always made sure I am worth what I make. I took care of my sick mother until she passed away. Later, a friend introduced me to the field of caregiving. Though I had formerly been a school teacher, caregiving fit like a glove. A client once asked me why I chose this profession, and I told her that I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I offer personal care, housekeeping services, and companionship. When my client was dying, I held her hand the entire time, not knowing that the daughter had entered the room and observed my action. After her death I received a note from the daughter describing how she had been touched by my action. As a former teacher, I am punctual, compassionate, empathetic, and sentimental; I laugh and cry with my clients. My current job involves caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. I have recently been providing a client with personal hygiene in the morning through CareLinx.

I love making a different in the lives of others.after taking care of my grand mother i developed the ability to care for people in need.When I came to the state in 1985 this was the job I acquired and I have being doing it ever since.I had worked in the nursing home setting,,hospital, and private homes. I have a positive impact on my client I smile a lot I'm open to communicate with my client, listened to there concern encouraged them making decisions if the can and to involve them in there care plan.i give ADL care, good hygiene,,cooked, do laundry, serve there meal but if client needs assistance with feeding I will do it. I do client shopping, take client out for recreation, make drs' appointment and take them to there appointment, medications remainder,or administered medications, reports any concerns to family member who is POA.It rewarding when you see your client condition is improving.Care giver job is rewording when you bond with your client and the built trust in you.

One of my personality traits is when someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. Some other personality traits that help me be a great caregiver are Trustworthiness, patience, and dependability. I love helping people. I've always had a soft spot for seniors and wanted to make a difference in their lives. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I take pride in my attention to detail. One of my greatest achievements is doing a 15 week nursing contract away from my family a lot.
