I believe myself to be an excellent caregiver because I'm very kind, respectful, reliable and devoted to making my client satisfied with my services. I became a caregiver because I like helping people in need. I understand everyone needs help at some point in their life, and if I can make a difference in at least one persons’ life then my goal is met. I believe I would be the best candidate for this position because I hold my services to high standards and treat my clients with the same respect I treat my loved ones. I'm very thorough with the services I provide and perform them in a timely manner. Attendance and reliability is a major concern when considering applicants. I pride myself upon being a punctual trustworthy person that most people can rely on.

I am looking to help care for adults and elders. Sorry but I am not willing to help with care of sick/ill children. I love children, I just recently had a very close child taken at the hands of cancer and cannot handle seeing children in those type of states. I little bit about me. I hold a license in practical nursing, in good standings, with an IV certification and current CPR. I currently work as a hospice nurse a few hours a week, doing regular scheduled skilled nursing visits as well as continuous care. I absolutely love what I do, caring for others. A little about my background prior to nursing. I spent 11 years in the military, where I learned invaluable skills and work ethics. My intriguing, morals, values, alongside my work ethics make me the passionate person I am.

Skills & Certifications: ALS, Blood Disorders, Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Cancer Recovery, Cardiovascular Disorders, Diabetes, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Hospice Care, Multiple Sclerosis, Neurological Disorders, Orthopedic Care, Parkinson's Disease, Post Surgery Recovery, Renal and Urological Disorders, Respiratory Disorders, Skin Disorders, Stroke, HIV/AIDS, Dementia, COPD, Arthritis, Depression, Hearing Disorders, Vision and Eye Disorders, Tracheotomy / Ventilation, Palliative Care, Home Health Care, Alzheimer's Disease

Started my career in the home-health care field in August of 2018, I learned to listen to my clients with not only my ears, but my heart, and soul. Always asking myself how I would like to be treated if I were in their shoes. The last two years I have assisted people in getting well and have also worked at keeping some people as comfortable as possible at the end of life. I understand truly what it means to be patient, and I want you to feel comfortable. Whether it be companionship, accompanying to a Dr.'s appt's, preparing meals, housekeeping, medication reminders, assisting with bathing, ect., my goal is to put a smile on the face of others. I will close with "The Starfish" by Loren Eisely. Once upon a time, there was an old man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach every morning before he began his work. Early one morning, he was walking along the shore after a big storm had passed and found the vast beach littered with starfish as far as the eye could see, stretching in both directions. Off in the distance, the old man noticed a small boy approaching. As the boy walked, he paused every so often and as he grew closer, the man could see that he was occasionally bending down to pick up an object and throw it into the sea. The boy came closer still and the man called out, "Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing?" The young boy paused, looked up, and replied "Throwing starfish into the ocean. The tide has washed them up onto the beach and they can't return to the sea by themselves," the youth replied. "When the sun gets high, they will die, unless I throw them back into the water." The old man replied, "But there must be tens of thousands of starfish on this beach. I'm afraid you won't really be able to make much of a difference."The young man listened politely, then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea. "It made a difference for that one."
