Hello & I hope you're doing well. My name is Mare & I was born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina. My interest in care giving began in 1982 when I gave birth to my daughter. Tiffany was born @ CMC w/ no right kidney & only a piece of a left kidney. That's when my caregiving actually began, however I had always wanted to be a nurse. Tiffany had several episodes of heart failure, as well as many seizures. I took the opportunity to learn as much as possible in order to help her in every way I could. Tiffany and I were referred to The Children's Hospital of Alabama where I was taught how to perform peritoneal dialysis. I treated her with paritoneal dialysis in my home for approximately one year. At that time, doctors decided she had to have a transplant. At 18 months, Tiffany was given one of my kidneys. She was put on a great deal of medications and there was a lot of care given to her over her lifespan of 28 years. After Tiffany's passing, I followed my interest in caregiving by working at a hospital as well as an assisted living company. I am a very friendly, patient & caring person who has been taught how to deescalate issues if they arise. I'm also a great listener which makes me believe I am a great companion for those who need it. I would enjoy meeting you and your loved one to see if I can help with their care. I become a caregiver to help the elderly and help them with their wants and needs. I like being a caregiver because it feels good knowing that I made someones day, making sure they are comfortable and happy. My overall personal achievement that I'm proud of is that everytime I work with the elderly I satisfy them, I put a smile on their faces. Im a hardworker, dedicated and enjoy being able to help and give back to those who needs it the most!

I became a care giver because I like to help people, my mother works for Hospice and she has done this type of work since I can remember. I love this type of work !! What I like about being a care giver is getting to know different people I love listening to their stories they have to tell, also I like the company. My personal achievement is going back to school for my bachelors degree in Health & Wellness and Office Administrator, I will graduate in 2015. I am a Mom of 4 children 2 are in the military and the other 2 live in Ohio. I am currently in school and I just moved to this area from High Point in April of this year. I have been certified as an EMT in Wisconsin for 3 yrs. I am certified in CPR and basic first aid. I am an out going person who loves being around other people and helping out whomever needs it.

One piece of my life that I've always been proud of is back in elementary school when I helped this one student who had spina bifida, use a walker, and wheel chair most of the time. I was their to open doors, move chairs, get things when needed, or help them out when they were tired. Over time it was recognized then was nominated for the Service Above Self Awards.

Since high school I've worked in the medical field. I've always had interest in being a CNA because my mother was a CNA also. The love, empathy, care and passion that my mother put into her work made me feel like that was something I'd like to do. I received my CNA license in 2010, knowing that from that point forward that my job would be to make a difference in another person life. I love working with people and most of all helping someone with there personal needs. Every person I care for I look at then as of they were me, knowing that one day I'll need someone to help me. Being a CNA is definitely a passion and something I enjoy doing, help those who depends on me.
