My personal traits of a caregiver is that I always have had a heart for those that can't do for themselves. It warms my heart to make someone feel like they still have life no matter what they can and can't do. And a personal achievement for me was to get an elderly lady to be able to get In her bath tub without falling again after 5 years of having a shower chair and needing help to sit on it. I love working with seniors, they are humble, appreciative for the help, wisdom. Getting someone to do something, they never would think of ever doing, I try motivate my clients to do for themselves. It was actually the same lady who gave me a hard time at one point but that time nothing else mattered.

I was attracted to home care because Of my wish to become a nurse, and so my sister helped me find a job as a HHA and my love for helping other and wanting to be a nurse grew from there. Being able to help others that can't do certain things for them selves doesn't bother me but actually helps me improve myself and grateful that I am able to do for myself they way some individuals can't.
