I grew up watching my mom work with home help, and there was not a client who did not love her. One once said, was to know her was to love her. I tend to think that I took on my mom personality traits. Some of those traits are kind, patient, caring, helpful, loving, outgoing, and charismatic. I used to work in a nursing home, and I absolutely loved it. Just being able to help someone and make them feel comfortable in a place they once did not call home, is so soothing. It's never an easy task for elders to adjust to either assisted living or a nursing home; so with the help of us caregivers, we can make their transition much easier.

Hello, my name is Quiniya but you can me Niya for short. I have been working and this field since I was 17, a senor in high school. My first job was working in the kitchen of a retirement home. I later started working as a can and also was certified to pass out medications, all in the same workplace. I am also in good spirit when I come to my place of work. I always try my best to leave my personal at the door. I come to work and make someone's day easier. What attracted me to being a caregiver was just how I grew up. Helping my aunt who was confined to her bed. I have also help raise my younger siblings and also niece and nephews. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is just helping out, giving out positive vibes and putting smiles on people's faces.
