When I look back on my 15 years of working as a Licensed nurses assistant I like to think about the people that made me who I am, with each senior I helped or assisted I learned something new, I learned about my self as well, I have a lot of compassion for seniors because of my own grandparents who I loved more then life it self.I treat people they way I wanted my own family to be treated. I enjoy home care because you get to know people, seniors love to talk about their life stories and I enjoy listing to them.It was one of the main reasons for me going into home care because I love to hear about the old days of long ago, and I love being around the elderly because they have a lot more to say that what people think, I like being around people who are nice funny and just good people.

I've been an LNA for four years now and I am working towards getting my RN at Great Bay as well. I have a five year old daughter and I am looking for first or third shift during the week so I can still see her when she gets out of school. On the weekends, I am able to work anytime

I worked for Heaven Sent home care for a year and had 3 clients of all different needs including mobility issues, on oxygen, etc. I was to clean thwir house, give medication reminders and be a companion which is one of the mosmost important parts about being a caregiver. I love to play cards, clean and even just talk if you want to. I'm an excellent cook and could definately assist with meal prep. I worked in the restaraunt industry for 5 years so I definately know more than the basics!

I first started caregiving when I was 17. My first job was for glorias helping hands. At first i wasnt sure about how i felt about the type of work. I didnt have much experience as to what i was doing. I took some classes and got my rcs1 and crma first. Rcs1 is a residential care specialist and a CRMA is a certified residential medical assistant. As i learned more and worked more I realized that is was my passion to help others who may need some assistance in things they can no longer do. Honestly u really do have to have a passion for this type of work because u never know what could happen or what situation u may end up in. And some of the disabilities, and some health issues can be challenging. Ive been very lucky to continue and have worked and learned various disabilities, as well as illnesses. Today i have my rcs1, pss,cna, and also insulin certified, cpr certified, and first aid certified. I love knowing that I'm making a difference and im helping and am there for someone who needs some support and help in their life.

I work full time at a hospital but I am searching for a more 1:1, personable position. I knew I was meant to be a nurse since I was a young girl learning about Florence Nightingale. My mother is a nurse also and has inspired me and been my support throughout my schooling and career. I enjoy taking care of people and building a relationship with them as well as seeing them heal. I see the bigger picture, meaning taking care of the whole person (physically, emotionally, spiritually). I use my skills and knowledge to tailor to each person individually.
