I'm caring, passionate, and organized. I became a caregiver after taking care of my mother. Noticing that it's hard to find a caregiver that will take care of your love like you would. I became a Caregiver because I needed the certification for another job that I thought I would be well suited for. I thought I would fair out well as a Lab Tech for one of the local mental hospitals. Not long after I'd graduated from the CNA program and had begun working as a Lab Tech in the hospital clinic, I discovered the hospital was due to close in less than a year ; there were no openings at any of the sister branches. I took a job with a visiting nurse agency as a Phlebotomist / CNA. Although they had more CNA work than Phlebotomy, I needed a job and lacked experience. The job also offered a year long course in disease management coaching and had good benefits. As time passed, I began to work in other areas of caregiving to see what my specialty might be and decided I liked working with seniors; they seemed to have tons of life experience and didn't mind sharing it ( I often found myself wondering if should've been paying them for all they taught me - important things about life I never even thought of !), They seemed to really appreciate anything I did for them. I find the intrinsic value of serving the elders rewarding. Since discovering what my passion is, I've done nothing else.

Hello! My name is Kelly and I am a proud single mother of a very bright 3 year old girl. I became a caregiver because it runs on my mothers side of the family. I want to make a difference to someone , I want to make a difference in my community, I also like helping people who need my care to get back on their feet. I like to create smiles and provided comfort to those in need. I love working with people of all ages and races. My mother raised me to believe we are all equal no matter the race, religion or ethnicity. I like to see people improve, and get better and I try to do everything I can to promote that.

I love helping people who are incapable of helping themselves how they use to. My mother being a nurse and her love and passion for what she does attracted me to caregiving. Making people comfortable and putting a satisfying smile on their faces. Within a short amount of time in this field I've been able to help and bring help and joy to people regularly.

I have been a caregiver for 14 plus years. Since a young child, I have been around nursing facilities in some way because everyone in my family has worked in one. I used to volunteer in the nursing facility that my mom worked in with the activities department. I would help make cookies and pass them out to the residents. I enjoy the most sitting with them and listening to their stories. Becoming a caregiver came natural to me.

I became a caregiver, because caring for someone else, is the most rewarding thing that I could ever done. I like being a caregiver, because helping someone feeling better is pricless. It worms my heart. My personal achievement, is going to school and became a CNA. This helps me do my job better. I'm a fun loving person.
