I became a CareGiver for the simple fact that I truly have a passion and enjoy helping people. I became a caregiver because I like caring for people. I always wanted to be a doctor. Caring for people that need a caring person who really treats them well and respects them. Raising three children with birth defects to be happy healthy adults is my biggest accomplishment. I am a retired realtor. I love care giving more then any work I have ever done. I have worked as a caregiver for over 10 years and the smiles of satisfaction and joy on my patient's faces gives me joy and I feel I have done my job well. I love providing care to people because I can connect with them emotionally. Meeting new people from different works and cultures and providing them with quality and efficient care gives me a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. I give the best I can to my job without any excuses. I make my patients feel at home and comfortable as much as possible by bringing a smile or a sense of humor as I become part of the family. I have over 20 letters of recommendation from family members and awards also. I am caring, loving, and kind. I am a born again Christian and a cancer survivor. I understand what it means to depend on someone else to help do things they can no longer do.

The reason I became a caregiver was for my mom. I stopped working to take care of my mom; that was no problem, for I would do it again. Unfortunately, my mother passed away two years ago. And God put my neighbor in my path to be her caregiver, and that's when I knew this is what I wanted to do for my career. And everything fell in place, and I filled my broken heart with joy making other people not be lonely.
