I am a hard working young man, I have a very positive attitude. People who know me beat at I have a great heart and sometimes it can be my down fall always being so nice. So that's why I enjoy this kind of work cause I actually care, I am not just their for a paycheck. Rather I am there to help the individual or individuals progress in their daily life. It is fur filling when you can help some learn something that they wouldn't have normally been able to do as well as learn.

I have a great concern for elderly and ill patients.I enjoy the satisfaction of knowing I am helping make a difference in someones life. I feel it is a very fulfilling postion. I am proud of having been there to take care of my husbands grandmother for the last couple months of her life and made them the best they could have been for her to feel loved and cared for.I am 38 years old and have a very nurturing personality.I enjoy making others happy as well as caring for them the way I would care for my own mother.

What makes me a great caregiver? Excellent question. I am very very respectful, even if an elderly person is becoming frail and/or senile, it's important to remember that they are a person with a lot of experience, and a person who was once able to stand on their own two feet. I am also very empathetic; Ageing can be a confusing and difficult process for some older people, as tasks they used to find simple become a challenge that needs to be overcome. I am also very very reliable. What attracted me to being a caregiver? I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders. I doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like doing a variety of tasks in a day. I don't ever say, "that's not my job" but instead like pitching in to do whatever is needed. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I take pride in your attention to detail. I don't want a desk job; you like being physical in your job and using your body as well as your brain. I am seeking a career with growing opportunities. I don't want to invest in many years of formal education but you are willing to learn new skills and take continuing education to do your job well. I feel that when you are older, I'd want someone like myself there to help me if I need help. What do I enjoy most about being a caregiver? I think just meeting peoples' needs. Sometimes it's not a glamorous job but you leave and the people feel like they have been treated with dignity. Their needs are met, they're comfortable or as comfortable as you can help them become. It's a very important thing for me. Not that it has to be glamorous, but just their smiles. It's just a very rewarding thing.

I have been a caregiver for a few years now. In those few years, i have learned valuable lessons that will stay with me forever. Lessons taught by other staff or a patient. They can't teach you everything in a classroom, you have to learn somethings hands on, and those are the lessons I will never forget. Hello! My name is Deneen. I grew up on Riverside Drive in New York City. I moved to Roscoe, NY in the 1980s and raised a beautiful family. I believe that in order to be great at what you do, you actually should have an interest, love or strong work ethic pertaining to your field of interest. Providing care for the individuals that I have worked for and those that needed care has always been a great joy for me, just seeing the smiles on their faces is so heartwarming. I became a caregiver because I love people and I feel people should have the best quality of life in there time of need. I love to help people learn new ways of taking care of themselves so they can have the best quality of life during there illness. I love the smiles I get when I arrive to start my job , I teach and clients teach me its a fabulous feeling. I made one fabulous achievement about a year ago and I will never forget it. I started to take care of a client when the client had one amputation , it was sad but we continued to do lots of stuff I had to give encouragement everyday , Then one day the client had to have the other leg removed. At this time the client was so depressed everyday was a struggle but I told the client we can still do what we did before its just going to take a little longer the clients response was," I want to go to Kohl's shopping". I said okay we can do that let me plan it out. Guess what the client went shopping at Kohl's and went to lunch, Where there is a will there is a way. I will never forget that one month later the client passed a way but the client got the shopping trip that was thought to never happen. People told me that I would not be able to do this with this client when I did they said I was one of a kind. I said no I am not I accomplished another good deed for a wonderful person.
