I have worked in Health Care for for 28 years ,, its all I know , and I can not think of doing anything else ; I love my Job at a Nursing Home in Baldwinsville NY ,,I am looking to "branch out " into something new !! something that is the future in Health Care, and the Carelinx company looks like that to me .

My whole life my gift is nurturing older adults , help them to stay at home where they love to be, I love to listen to the stories they tell and about there life.

1. What makes me like a great caregiver is that I treat my patient like my own family, I always to my mind that taking my patient is like I'm also taking care of my family 2. I love doing caregiving because it is my passion to take care of them, love them and give them the needs they needed, 3. I enjoyed most being caregiver is that being able to handle the behavior your patient is giving to you and yet you find your self it is very interesting and you still love your patient. It's like loving them with out asking for return to love you back 4. Personal achievement I am proud of is that I was able to stay calm in times of emergency when my patient oxygen sat went down to 52%, when shes having difficulty in breathing, she became cyanotic or become blue and I was doing a back percussion to her, her breathing went back to normal, (Ps. She had most form so I couldn't able to do CPr- that's why back percussion was applied)

Honestly, I moved in during the last year leading up to my grandfathers death. He had many issues and heath problems and i helped with everything i could. I administered his meds, emptied his stoma for his colostomy, set up his food & water (kangaroo pump). Laundry, and anything else he needed. I recently moved away from my home town (las vegas) and Im missing him so much. I would love to help out a family that needs someone who's been in their shoes & knows the difficulties of finding quality people to look after their loved ones, and i promise you- I am that girl! Thank you

I'm a mom and recently out of the army. My husband is still stationed here at drum, he's military police. Just looking to help others! I love to help people in any kind of way, whatever I'm able to do I will do it.

I am very patient and can be very welcoming with being a companion. I am very hard working and love to help the elderly and be a friend when needed. I am a caregiver because I took care of family members who were passing away and it gave me reward to know I am making the short time they have a good one. I became a caregiver because I wanted to help make a difference in quality of life for those that needed help. I find it very rewarding when I know I am able to emotionally and physically support someone that is not able to do things on their own whether it be to help wash, dress, assist to medical appointments, shopping cleaning or just providing companionship. I began as a direct care support staff 13 years ago for Jefferson Rehabilitation Center in Watertown, NY. In 2004 I moved to Massachusettes and became Direct Care Staff for Turning Point located in Newburyport Ma. for 3 years. I have been doing private home care for a 90 yr old woman for the last 7+ years during which time I acquired my CNA certification and more recently I completed a Hospice course in October of this year.
