I am very compassionate and empathetic. I have taken care of others for many years including family members suffering from dementia as well as other cognitive and physical disorders. I enjoy helping others obtain happiness and contentment while being able to live in a home setting. The best part of being a care giver is the personal reward. What makes me a great caregiver is my personality. I've been in the care giving field since I was 17. Even before that. I was helping my mom at her job since I was 7. My whole life I've grown to love the caregiving field.

I choose to be come a caregiver because of my grandma, watching her slowly struggle and get worse she needed aids and help herself. The way she talked about how much of a difference a good caregiver really was made me realize that I could do that and make a difference as well. I also knew what kind o wanted to be.
