What makes me a great caregiver is I am loving, passionate and have compassion for people and their needs. I became a caregiver because I was given the opportunity to take care of my grandmother. She was my world and when she was diagnosed with liver cancer, I found my perfect world falling apart. I took care of my grandmother up until the end, and I found it very rewarding. Loving her in such a way has given me a special love for people. I love people, I love being of service to others, and do whatever I can to assist. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to give back and be of service to those who need assistance. I love being a caregiver because I meet all kinds of people from all walks of life. I am able to be in their presence and hear the wisdom that is shared. I am proud of finally achieving my bachelor degree after raising two children as a single parent. I did not allow obstacles to hold me hostage from my goals and dreams.

I love cooking and love helping the elderly in need.. I have been in health care since I was 21 . My biggest achievement would be I have been working at the nursing home now for 30 years. I am prn now since I have become full time third shift caregiver.. I do firsts and seconds When they need me to. Love spending time with my family!!

My biggest strengths as a caregiver are my patience and compassion. I treat everyone with the respect they deserve and I am able to find a way to relate to and get along with everyone. I started my career as a caregiver first as a direct support professional for people with developmental disabilities, and I have since then transitioned to senior care with a focus on disabled veterans. I absolutely love this line of work, andI really enjoy being able to engage with people and assist them with daily living.

I have over 15 years experiance in health care. I started out as an STNA decided to further my education in 2015 and became a LPN. I have 3 classes left for my RN. I really enjoy taking care of people, it is my passion.

I am basically a "people" person who likes interacting with and helping others. I had my first taste of caregiving working as an aid in a nursing home when I was 21. I developed such a tight bond with the patients I cared for and was hooked. My ethics are simple- treat others the way I would like to be treated. My greatest accomplishment as a caregiver has been seeing that I have added to the quality of life of those I care for. I once cared for a lady and although she never complained, I sensed that she had lived a difficult life. As I was tucking her into bed one night,she looked up at me and told me that she had never had anybody treat her "so nice" in her whole life. That brought tears to my eyes.

I went back to school to get my stna to help others I watched my mother be an stna my whole life so I went and got my stna I love being able to help and hear there story from way back then as most of them say to me (: I'm easy going. I took care of my terminally ill grandmother and take care of my mother who has dementia, father has CHF and diabetes and my nephew has a rare disease that I play a big part in helping taking care of him. I love the fact that I can take care of someone who is need. Graduating with my Associates Degree in Medical Assisting. I am an honest, trustworthy, dependable and caring person who is always wanting to help take care of someone in need.

I'm a fun and loving person with an out going personality. Working with people is my favorite thing, I don't think I'd enjoy anything else. I love getting to bond with my clients.
