I'm giving back what was given to me, at sometime or another we all need someone to care for us so its my duty to give back. Raising my kids and finishing school so i could do what i love. Hi , My name is Jasmine Williams I'm 26 years old. Coming back into the field after maternity leave. I have worked as a nursing assistant for 5+ years! I am very dedicated to the medical field and am also hoping it takes me a long way. I really enjoy working as a Nursing Assistant as it gives me a chance to give back to those in need of help as well as allowing me to have the hands on experience I need to become the best nurse possible , as I will be a new nursing student in the fall. I became a caregiver 5 years ago fresh out high school after helping my grandma through her breast cancer process. I believe my patients, care, and communication skills make me one out of many great caregivers. I became a caregiver to help my brother and his family. I have been blessed with help from people throughout my life and love when I have the opportunity to help others. I worked in a physical therapy clinic for 8 years and am an ACSM certified personal trainer starting an in-home personal training business. I believe my training and experience in both these fields will help me in my work as a caregiver.

I am an outgoing person. I like to make sure my participants are comfortable and happy. I go over and beyond in the work I do. I am reliable, respectful, & would appreciate the same in return. Efficient communication & in task duties. The best part about being a CNA is that I am able to make a difference in someone elses life. I like to joke, dance, play games, and thing that make my client happy and enjoy life. I'm a certified Home Health Aide (soon to be a certified CNA and PCT (yes I have goals) that has over ten years experience in the health field. I have worked with individuals in the MR population, Veterans, individuals who are homeless, the Elderly, individuals who suffer from Substance Abuse, at risk teens and parolees. In this role, I have served hundreds of patients in their home with basic but exceptional service in duties such as: personal hygiene, healthcare, feeding, toileting, bathing, medication reminders and grooming. I began my study in the science of nursing, applied myself academically, received scholarships and graduated with honors because I wanted a good job with the opportunity for growth and advancement. This is the statement many people use in the cover letter of a resume without understanding what it really means. During my tours of duty I had the pleasure of working with a diverse population of people who taught me everything I know today. I learned to listen, be prudent, patient, empathetic and humble, and build trusting relationships. I didn't learn this from professors in college, instructors during clinical rotations, nor preceptors who oriented me to a new health care position. I learned from our seniors who struggle with dementia, our children who struggle with genetic disease syndrome, and our family, friends and neighbors who struggle with mental illness. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work in the areas of geriatric, pediatric, and behavioral health nursing. The people in my care revealed to me without saying a word that the good job with the opportunity for growth and advancement that I was looking for was with me the whole time. I was the good job that needed to be done, and I have people like your loved ones to thank for that. Early in my career as a registered nurse I decided to focus on home care because it was depressing to be surrounded by sick people who had to wait for pain medication, and help with meals, bathing, grooming, and toileting, and I couldn't help all of them. Home care affords me the time to focus on my actual employer's business at hand. That is your loved one's needs and concerns.
