I have worked with loved ones that have Alzheimer's, Dementia, ALS, and everything in between. I am very good at my job and I do very much take a lot of stress off the family members. I I am very good at my job and care deeply for the people I take care and treat them as I would my own. I have always made sure I am worth what I make. I became a caregiver about 20+ years ago after raising my family. My brother was born with a disability and I seen how gentle and loving my mother was with him. I love making a different in the lives of others.after taking care of my grand mother i developed the ability to care for people in need.When I came to the state in 1985 this was the job I acquired and I have being doing it ever since.I had worked in the nursing home setting,,hospital, and private homes. I have a positive impact on my client I smile a lot I'm open to communicate with my client, listened to there concern encouraged them making decisions if the can and to involve them in there care plan.i give ADL care, good hygiene,,cooked, do laundry, serve there meal but if client needs assistance with feeding I will do it. I do client shopping, take client out for recreation, make drs' appointment and take them to there appointment, medications remainder,or administered medications, reports any concerns to family member who is POA.It rewarding when you see your client condition is improving.Care giver job is rewording when you bond with your client and the built trust in you.

One of my personality traits is when someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. Some other personality traits that help me be a great caregiver are Trustworthiness, patience, and dependability. I love helping people. I've always had a soft spot for seniors and wanted to make a difference in their lives. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. I take pride in my attention to detail. One of my greatest achievements is doing a 15 week nursing contract away from my family a lot.

I have been doing in-home care for 8 years. I love it. I love being able to help the elderly and allowing them to trust me in assisting them with daily living. I have done private duty cases and in home care for agencies. I have excellent references. I am a CNA/GNA and a Med Tech. I am CPR and first aid certified. I felt in love with the work through voluntary work. I was taken care of people who are mentally challenged. I love to see I made a difference in a person's life. Through an extensive training I had as a Med. Technician , through MBON, I was able to administer meds, check with vitals, administer CPR and First Aid.I gave injections to people with Diabetes and also check with their blood sugar. Aside this, I took care of their personal hygiene and run errands for them. I prepare their meals and get them ready for their daily activities. I schedule their doctor's appointments and make sure to honor those appointment. Doing this gave me the confidence to take up a manager's position which I excelled!
