I became a caregiver 13 years ago to help the elderly be able to stay in their homes with dignity. It gives me great joy to see someone healthy, happy & thriving in the comfort of their own home. As a caregiver I have great compassion for my clients, am dedicated, reliable, and organized.

I am an outgoing actress who has had the opportunity to watch my mother work as a nurse. I have never been a caregiver, but would like to start. I am compassionate and sensitive. This makes me someone who is able to help people with kindness. I love helping people and I love the idea of making a one on one connection with a patient.

At the nursing home i currently work at, its easy for me to build relationships with the residents and try to make their day worth what they pay for. I am a senior nursing student at IUP, and I will be graduating in may. I am very compassionate and love the field of work I am in. I have experience with caring for the elderly, as I was a caregiver for my neighbor back in High School. Since I am a senior student I have completed all areas of nursing (I will be in Psychiatrics and community nursing this upcoming semester). I am stroke and CPR certified, and also have general and military background checks and clearances. Upon graduation I will be a Active Duty Nurse in the Army. I am very personable, a fun spirit, and I love helping other people.

Hello! My name is Heather Dunmire, I have been in the medical field for 8 years now. My first job out of high school was a nurses aide position. I went on to further my education and obtain my CNA license in January 2017. I have a strong passion for wanting to help others and wanting to see them succeed. I have worked in a childcare facility as a shift supervisor before but I always find my way back to my elderly folk, that is where I feel my heart is at and where I feel I do my best work. I love hearing their stories from all throughout their lives, and I absolutely love to see the smiles on their faces. I like to really take the time to find out what their dislikes and likes are, get to know their routine of things, and try to connect with them in a way to make them feel safe and secure. I am cpr, first aid, aed, and Heimlich trained. I am also diabetic trained and medication trained, and insulin trained and I have a customer service certification.
