I love helping other people, it is my passion! I am outgoing and empathetic. I am a great listener and encourager. I have helped two family members, one who had cancer and one who suffered from multiple strokes and dementia. I helped cook meals, take medication, keep them on a schedule, get them to appointments, helped wash cloth bathe, helped with feeding, changing clothes, laundry, house cleaning, and much more. I enjoy helping others most of all, but I also love getting to know my clients and get a smile on their face. I'm very proud of all the work I've done as a daughter, granddaughter and mother. Taking care of others all my life. It's my greatest achievement.

I feel like if you love your job then your not really working its kinda like a hobby . my grandma raised me an she had dementia an I helped take care of her an my heart has always been with helping the sick needey an elderly. A personal achievement I'm proud of is in raising my 3 precious children .

My first job as a caregiver was way back in 1985, my senior year of high school. I worked in a nursing home and fell in love with caring for those in their golden year. They have so much to teach us. I went on to get my Masters in Social Work and was a hospice social worker for 15 years. I took every opportunity to provide direct care- there's just nothing like it. :) I opened a hospice house where I recruited, trained and mentored CNA's. I had the best of both worlds because I was a certified medication technician and was able to enjoy a lot of 1:1 time with our residents. After several years, I became a director of hospice and have been in management for the past 7 years. Honestly, I'm tired of quotas, the pressure to meet benchmarks, etc and want to return to simpler times when I was able to love on someone, pampering them and doing my best to ensure they are as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I'm excited to get back to my roots and hope you'll give me the chance to prove how much I adore older adults and love to spoil them.

Hello My name is Heather I'm a wife 16 years and we have 4 children 2 boys 2 girls! My children are all self sufficient now and I'm looking to help out anyone in need:) Before my grandmas passing I search all over looking for someone to help my grandmother with little things around the house, meal prep, grooming, laundry, grocery shopping and even a companion! I just couldn't find everything I needed for her... Luckily we only lived 2 hours away at the time so I ended up traveling to her for what she needed every other weekend, Unfortunately she took a turn for the worse not to long after and needed all around care.. My husband and kids came together with a plan so that I could go be with her 24/7 to make sure she was properly taken care of till she took her last breath! It was the most rewarding feeling ever:) Anyone that just need a helping hand I would absolutely love to help;)
